Eight disabled parking bays in Weymouth and Portland are being withdrawn by Dorset Council.

The authority is currently advertising the proposed changes to come into effect on September 12th.

Said a spokesman:

"The disabled bays being removed in Weymouth and Portland are a result of the original applicants telling us the bay is no longer required."

"We have gathered these requests over the last year and are now processing them as a bulk withdrawal."

The sites affected are Portland; Castletown, Clarence Road, Grangecroft Road, Reforne and St Martin’s Road: Weymouth; Dundee Road, Penny Street and Salisbury Road.
