Radipole Lake fire believed to be deliberate

Police believe a fire at Radipole Lake on Friday (20th September) evening was started deliberately.

Fire crews found the wooden ramp leading up to the viewing tower on fire, as well as a surrounding area of reeds at Radipole Lake Nature Reserve. 

They were called at 9:08pm, and the police were also called fifteen minutes later.

Two crews from Weymouth were able to put the fire out by 9:56pm.

Nobody was injured and no arrests have been made.
