Four arrested for alleged drug driving in Weymouth

One vehicle was seized for having no insurance.

Officers also stopped a vehicle in the Dorchester Road area, resulting in two occupants being searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

One man was found in possession of a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.

Int total, four people were arrested for drug driving offences, one vehicle was seized for having no insurance and a number of Traffic Offence Reports were also issued.

It's after a day of intensification for teams targeting suspected county lines drug networks.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit teamed up with County Lines teams on Tuesday (24th September).

A Weymouth and Portland Police Spokesperson said:

"We will continue to carry out these proactive days of intensification with the aim of disrupting the activity of suspected county lines networks as well as taking action against those believed to be posing a risk to fellow road users.

"We are also reliant on information from members of the public to help identify individuals suspected of regularly driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol."
