Published by Maria Greenwood at 8:31am 4th October 2019.

It's the largest event of its kind on the South Coast.

The event which takes place on Sunday 13th October is now in its 40th year, and is hosted by Weymouth & Porltand Lions Club.

Lions president Ryan Hope said:

"The primary function of this event for us is to raise money for local causes as per the Lions' mission, but obviously it has a good impact on Weymouth as it brings footfall into town.

"And of course the motocross guys love it because it's not very often you get to ride your bike on Weymouth's sands.

"It's quite a unique experience."
