The Puddletown bypass had to be partially closed yesterday morning (Sat 5 Oct).

The busy dual carriageway was affected between Tolpuddle Ball and Northbrook junctions at around 8.40am on Saturday.

Police received reports of a Land Rover towing a boat colliding with the central reservation barrier.

Officers had to wait for specialist help from Highways England to recover the 4x4 off road vehicle which was well and truly stuck.
