A crash between van and lorry's caused road closures on the A37 near Wardon Hill this afternoon.

Two fire crews from Dorchester and one from Yeovil were called to help clear the scene this afternoon. It's expected the road will be closed for quite some time due to the oil and wet conditions.

Dorset Police and the Ambulance service were also called around 3pm this afternoon and currently dealing with a serious collision on the A37 at Wardon Hill.

A Dorset Police Spokesperson said:

"Road closures are in place between the Holywell Cross junction and the junction with the A356 at Grimstone.

"We would like to thank motorists for their patience while these closures are in place."

It's not currently know the extent of any injuries.
