Three medals were given out this weekend for long service from three members of Weymouth RNLI's crew.

Two of the medals were for 20 years of service, the other was for 30 years.

Coxswain Andy Sargent (pictured above) was presented with a 30 year bar, to add to his previous 20 year medal for his service. Over the past three decades as both a volunteer crew member and a full time Coxswain, he's been paged more than 2,300 times - an average of 94 times per year.

Phil Hansford also received the 20 year medal. He's been paged  1,200 times - and a further 681 times since becoming the stations full-time mechanic.

The medals were all presented by Di Ludlow, who served the RNLI for many years as chair of the Ladies guild, and is the widow of the late station Hon. Sec Bill Ludlow.

Nicki Ayling, Lifeboat Operations Manager, praised all three of the crew. She said:

"I am amazed at their dedication to the RNLI and Weymouth lifeboat station."
