Cows escape for a morning out at West Bay

Bridport Police officers told them to get a moo-ve on.

13 cows made their way to West Bay Beach on Sunday (6th October 2019). Dorset Police were called at 6:53am.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said:

"We received a report at 6.53am on Sunday 6 October 2019 that around 13 cows were on a road in West Bay.

"Officers attended and located the cows in the area of East Pier. The owner of the cows was contacted and attended to deal with them."

Bridport Police posted photo's of the incident on social media, prompting some comments milking the situation.

What an udderly surprising start to the day! We were not amoosed!!
