Three in hospital after A35 collision

One person's injuries are serious but not life threatening.

The other two people were treated for injuries that are not believed to be serious.

Two vehicles were involved in a crash near Winterbourne Abbas earlier today.

Dorset Police were called this afternoon at 12:18pm to a section of the A35, about 3 miles west of Winterbourne Abbas.

Fire crews from Dorchester and Bridport were called to help, as it was believed one person was trapped in a car - although it became clear on arrival they were not.

The road has now reopened. The fire service helped clear the scene and make the road safe again.
