Published by The Wessex FM News Team at 12:01am 13th October 2019.

It's the largest event of its kind on the South Coast.

Now in its 40th year its hosted by Weymouth & Portland Lions Club in association with Purbeck Motocross Club .

Lions president Ryan Hope said:

"The primary function of this event for us is to raise money for local causes as per the Lions' mission, but obviously it has a good impact on Weymouth as it brings footfall into town.

"And of course the motocross guys love it because it's not very often you get to ride your bike on Weymouth's sands. It's quite a unique experience."
