The group was active in the 80s and 90s and is back with a new, modern perspective for 2019.

Weymouth Round Table has been reformed by a group of local business owners to raise money and help good causes in Weymouth and Portland.

Round Table is a national charitable organisation that focuses on events in the community and making a difference.

There are lots of Round Tables around the county, attracting over 30,000 members.

One of their volunteers, Dan Beaumont said:

"The Weymouth Round Table was one of the biggest ones.

"We decided to reform it just because we wanted to put something back into our community.

"We're all working hard to try and get this to where it needs to be, and hopefully raise lots of money."

The group's organised a two events for this year:

  • Wine tasting evening  - Aura Café Bar - October 23rd
  • An evening with Neil ‘The Razoe’ Ruddock - The Nothe Tavern - November 15th
