The Dorchester Literary Festival's back for its fifth year - with over 3,000 tickets sold.

Authors giving talks in the town have included Prue Leith, Victoria Hislop and Dom Joly.

There's still a chance to see Tracey Chevalier today at the corn Exchange (3pm).

Organiser and antiques expert Paul Atterbury says it's been great for the town:

"The reason we started it five years ago was because there was nothing like this in Dorchester and we thought the county town really needs it because it has a wonderful literary history and tradition.

"The great thing is the town has responded - we've sold well over three thousand tickets this year, which is well up on last year, and what pleases us is the way the town has taken the festival to its heart. We have great local support and great enthusiasm, which makes us feel that the idea's been really worthwhile."
