Police found an uncapped syringe full of an 'unknown substance' near Portmore Gardens.

County Lines Officers responded to reports of drug related activity in the car park this afternoon (23rd October).

When they arrived, they couldn't find signs of drug use.

Officers checked a series of addresses.

A number of people were found inside a property and were told to leave the area.

One man was arrested for failing to appear in court on an unrelated matter.

During a further search of the area an uncapped needle was found and was disposed of safely.

A Weymouth and Portland Police spokesperson said:

"This is completely unacceptable for someone to be so careless and officers will deal with it robustly.

We will be liaising with housing on the matter."
