Man comes forward after bus driver was spat at

A man has come forward following a CCTV appeal after a bus driver was spat at and verbally abused in Weymouth.

It was reported that a bus driver was verbally abused on two separate occasions by the same man. On the second occasion the man allegedly spat at the driver.

The first incident was reported to have occurred at around 8.40am on Wednesday 6th November outside the law courts in Westwey Road and the second incident at the Dumbarton Road bus stop on Portland Road shortly before 11am on Saturday 9th November.

Following a CCTV appeal, a 24-year-old local man has come forward and is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
