Man left with broken arm in A35 hit-and-run

A man's arm was broken in a serious fail-to-stop collision at Askerswell.

At around 5.45am on Monday 11th November, Dorset Police received a report of a man walking in the road on the A35 at Askerswell.

Officers attended and located the man - aged in his 30s and from Devon - who reported he had been involved in a collision.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken arm.

Police Constable Rebecca Barnes, of Bridport police, said: 

"The man reported being hit by a dark-coloured car that did not stop at the scene.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or have relevant dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward."

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
