Dorset's skyline is set to get even more stunning as National Grid begins taking down pylons.

Traffic management will be in place on the A35 at Winterbourne Abbas from 9.30am - 3pm on Monday. (25 November)

Work is due to take place from the 25th - 28th November and from 2nd - 5th December.

22 electricity pylons will be removed between Winterbourne Abbas and Friar Waddon.

National Gird's Visual Impact Project (VIP) in Dorset will transform the views from Hardy Monument and South Dorset Ridgeway, which they say will enhance the area's natural beauty.

Two-way traffic lights will be in place to momentarily hold traffic travelling in both directions to allow construction vehicles to turn in the road.

A National Grid spokesperson said:

"This will occur approximately four times an hour while traffic management is operational.

"At all other times the lights will be green, allowing traffic to flow as normal in both directions."

The work will be taking place during the following periods:

25th - 28th November, 09:30 - 15:00
2nd - 5th December, 09:30 - 15:00
