Drugs, cash and a 'machete' style knife recovered in Weymouth

Officers from the County Lines Team have carried out enhanced patrols in Weymouth.

Three people were detained after a vehicle was checked in Hardwick Street.

A 17-year-old youth was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs after a quantity of suspected Class A drugs and cash was found.

The other two occupants of the vehicle, who were 17 and 20 years old were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Three properties were then searched by police, which resulted in additional items being seized. 

This included a quantity of cash and further amounts of suspected Class A and B drugs. 

A large machete style knife was found at one of the properties, which has been seized.

All three males have since been released under investigation whilst enquires continue.
