Fire crews called to McDonald's

Three fire engines were called to McDonald's in Dorchester on Saturday afternoon.

Two crews from Dorchester and one from Weymouth along with the aerial ladder platform were called to called to the restaurant on Monkey's Jump roundabout at 1.58pm.

There were reports of smoke in the area.

An investigation using a thermal imaging camera found that an air conditioning unit was overheating.

Fire crews left the scene at 2.26pm.
