Help donate to homeless charity with local cleaning company

Spotless Cleaning Solutions is asking us to help them support the Bus shelter Dorset.

They're opening extra drop-off points so we can leave donations more easily.

As well as taking items direct to the Bus Shelter in Weymouth we can now drop off at Spotless and dedicated drop-off point Medusa apothecary in Dorchester.

Ellie Cartlidge from Spotless told Wessex FM why they chose to support the Bus Shelter:

"We know it's a particularly difficult time of year for rough sleepers and homeless people and we wanted to support a local charity that helps them.

"After looking around Bus Shelter Dorset we were really impressed with how much work goes into it and how friendly they are there, so we knew they were the ones we wanted to help."

Bus Shelter Dorset welcomes all donations but have asked in particular for the following:

  • Shower gel
  • Men's deodorant
  •  Disposable razors
  • Shaving gel/foam
  • Washing powder & softner
  • Socks
  • Thermals
  • Cereals
  • Sugar
  • Coffee
  • UHT Milk

(They say they have plenty of teabags, toothpaste/brushes & bedding)

A spokesperson for the Bus Shleter Dorset said:

"We've been receiving lots of requests about offers of donations and Christmas gifts - thank you to everyone for your continued support - all our guests, staff and volunteers appreciate your kindness and wouldn't be able to offer this amazing service without it."
