Groundwater floods are expected all over the county over the next few days.

The Environment Agency is warning us about possible flooding due to heavy rain over the next few days.

Rain is forecast for today and tomorrow with possible sunshine on Friday morning.

It's expected to bring groundwater floods to many areas of the county.

Groundwater levels have been high at the Kingston Russell Borehole and have now leveled off.

An ESA spokesperson said:

"We are noticing groundwater ponding in fields and footpaths in low lying areas as a result, particularly in the South Winterbourne Valley, Piddle Valley, North Winterbourne Valley and surrounding areas.

"We encourage residents with pumps and other property level protection to put them in place and ensure they are working. We may start to see flooding on roads in these affected areas."

They say they're continuing to monitor the situation.
