Woman caught driving 5 children without correctly fitted seat belts

5 young children were found travelling in a car without correctly fitted seat belts.

Dorset Police's No Excuse team pulled the vehicle over in Garland Road in Poole.

They found four youngsters in the back and one in the front without correctly fitted seat bealts.

The car had been driven from the Dorchester area by a woman who had not passed her driving test and only had a provisional licence.

She was also driving without insurance. 

The car was seized by the police.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:

"This vehicle was stopped in Garland Road Poole and they had just driven from the Dorchester area without seatbelts correctly fitted? Not good.

"The driver also didn't have insurance, she has never passed her driving test and only holds a provisional licence. Again not good.

"No Excuse to have children in a car with no seat belts or proper seats etc if your unsure ask a garage."
