Man's jaw fractured in Weymouth assault

An 18 year old man needed surgery after an assault that left him with a fractured jaw.

Two boys, aged 14 and 15, and a 38 year old man have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. All three people are from Weymouth and have been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.

The incident happened behind Londis on Southview Road at the junction with Abbotsbury Road on Saturday (1st February 2020) at around 3:30pm.

Investigations Officer Karen O’Donnell, of Weymouth CID, said:

“I am really keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the reported assault. 

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have information to assist my investigation to get in touch.”
