Rocks were thrown through rear windows at the Storehouse Church last night.

Dorset Police were called this morning to reports that rocks had been thrown through rear windows of the Storehouse Church on Cambridge Road.

It's estimated replacing the windows will cost between £400-500.

The church has recently started hosting a soup kitchen twice a week to help feed the homeless.

Criminal damage at the Storehouse Church

Mark Topp, Pastor of the church said:

"It is a bit of a shock, wasn't expecting to come in to that today but it's part and parcel of being a church pastor.

"When you're helping people out and you're helping those who are very vulnerable and those who are at the lowest of society, the last thing you need is a kick in the teeth and it feels a lot like that today.

"But, we'll get through it, it's fine."

No arrests have been made.
