One person had to be cut out of a car after an accident in Bridport on Saturday night. (22 February)

The vehicle was involved in a collision with cars parked along West Road.

The driver managed to free themselves, but fire crews needed to remove the roof of the vehicle to get the passenger out.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said:

"Once the paramedics had assessed the casualty it was decided to remove the roof of the car and extract the casualty on a spinal board.

"Finally crews ensured all cars involved were safe and left the incident in the hands of the police.

"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."

A spokesman for Dorset Police said:

"We were called at 10.27pm on Saturday 22 February 2020 to a report of a three vehicle collision on West Road.

"It was reported that an Audi collided with two parked cars.

"An 88-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and taken to hospital.

"A female passenger was also taken to hospital. Both are believed to have sustained minor injuries."
