Cash and cocaine seized in Weymouth

Police in Weymouth say they have seized a substantial amount of cash and cocaine.

It was found during a series of searches of vehicles and addresses.

The first check was carried out around 4.30pm on Thursday (20 February) in Abbotsbury Road.

Officers from the County Lines Management Team conducted a stop check on a vehicle.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Officers then carried out further searches of vehicles and addresses in the Weymouth area.

A spokesman for Weymouth & Portland Police said:

"Both males have since been charged and remanded in custody for using fraudulent identification. 

"One of the males has also been charged for drugs supply offences. 

"The investigation continues."
