Flood warnings issued for Dorset

A flood warning's been issued for Dorchester and Wareham.

The Environment Agency say river levels have peaked.

With more rain expected throughout the day the say they'll be closely monitoring the situation.

A spokesman for the Environment Agency said:

"We believe there is a possibility of flooding for tributaries between Toller Whelme and Dorchester, in East Stoke, Holmebridge, Stoborough, Stoborough Green, Wareham, Redcliffe, Ridge and Swineham."

"Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers which may be flooded."
