First cases of coronavirus confirmed in Dorset

Public Health England have confirmed the first two cases of COVID-19 in Dorset.

The latest figures released today show two cases in the Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch area.

It is not known how the two people became infected.

The information has been released as part of daily updates given by Public Health England with information broken down by local authorities.

The UK has seen the biggest one-day increase in confirmed coronavirus cases.

273 people have now been infected - a rise of 67 on yesterday's figure.
