Police investigate fire at Asda in Weymouth

Firefighters were called to Asda in Weymouth last night.

Four fire engines responded after reports of a fire on the first floor of the supermarket.

A small fire was put out.

Dorset Police are now investigating.

A police spokesman told Wessex FM:

"We were called at 7.52pm on Thursday 19 March 2020 to reports of clothing being set on fire at Asda in Newstead Road in Weymouth.

"The matter has been passed to officers for investigation. 

"No arrests have been made and there were no reports of any injuries."
