The 'Music by the Lake' event, run by Weldmar Hospicecare, has been postponed due to COVID-19.

The event will be returning to Kingston Maurward in 2021.

Weldmar Hospicecare and Kingston Maurward have announced this years event cannot take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But, organisers are already looking forward to next years event.

Over 5,000 people went along to the music spectacular for the first time last year.

Leading tribute acts included Quee, Abba, Bon Jovi, Elton John, and Michael Buble in the beautiful grounds of the Georgian Manor House in Dorchester.

Alaine Harman from Weldmar Hospicecare says,

"It may be quite a way in the future, but I'm already hugely looking forward to the next Music By The Lake.

"There was such a terrific atmosphere at last year's event, and without any live music events this year 2021 should be a really good celebration where we can all get together again to enjoy brilliant live music that we all love."

Kingston Maurward Chief Executive Luke Rake says,

"Sadly we are not able to run the event as planned this year, but the success of 2019 shows us what a fantastic summer awaits us in 2021. We raised so much for Weldmar last year and we are excited about what the event can bring for the people of Dorset in the future.

Kingston Maurward Estate is a great resource, and we want as many people as possible to both enjoy it and benefit from its activities, as possible."
