'Our Dorset' have released an online library of health apps to support patients due the COVID-19 pandemic.

It includes a variety of apps that could help to manage joint and muscular problems to anxiety and how to improve mental wellbeing, for example.

It's being launched alongside the NHS #hereforyou campaign which reminds Dorset residents that health services are still open and available to use during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The library of apps have been rated against three different criteria:

  • Data Privacy
  • Clinical Assurance
  • User Experience

There are also sections for long term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and lung conditions.

Dr Karen Kirkham, Dorset GP and Integrated Care System Clinical Lead & Assistant Clinical Chair for the NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said:

"The new app library provides people with additional practical resources and support.

"It gives them the power to manage their own physical and mental health, whilst reassuring them that the apps they're using are the best and safest around, and have been approved by local clinicians in Dorset."

The library is free to use and can be found on their website.

You can download apps on Apple and Android phones.
