Dorchester Carluccio's not among list of chains to be saved

A rescue deal has been reached for 30 of the chain's restaurants, but Dorchester's not one of them.

The chain of restaurants has been bought by Giraffe and Ed's Easy Diner owner Boparan Restaurant Group.

It's after Carluccio's went into administration two months ago.

The deal's saving 800 jobs at 30 restaurants but a buyer couldn't be found for 40 others.

That means those are set to close with 1,019 jobs lost.

Administrators for Carluccio's said the following 30 restaurants have been saved:

  • Cheshire Oaks
  • Chester
  • Chichester
  • Colchester
  • Derby
  • Kingston, Bentalls
  • Leamington Spa
  • Leeds, Trinity
  • London, Islington Development Kitchen
  • London, Marriott Heathrow
  • London, Marriott Regents Park
  • London, Richmond
  • London, South Kensington
  • London, St Christopher's Place
  • London, St Pancras Station
  • London, Waterloo Station
  • London, Wimbledon
  • Manchester, Trafford Centre
  • Manchester, Piccadilly
  • Portsmouth
  • Reading
  • Sheffield
  • Solihull
  • Southampton
  • Stratford on Avon
