A road sign in Bridport slamming Boris Johnson's top aide has appeared on a roundabout in Bridport.

Over 40 Conservative MP's are calling for Dominic Cummings' resignation after a trip to Durham during the lockdown, which many view to be a breach of rules.

The sign is positioned under another road sign on the Crown Roundabout which touts the government's catchphrase: "Stay alert, control the virus, save lives"

Underneath is a sign which reads "except Dominic Cummings" referencing the controversy surrounding his 260-mile journey.

A Dorset Council Spokesman said:

"We are using temporary road signs at the request of the Department for Transport to help remind people of their responsibilities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It seems that a local anonymous prankster has added their opinion to one of our signs in west Dorset. The additional homemade sign is unauthorised so it will be removed."
