Witness appeal after collision in Weymouth

Dorset Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a road traffic collision on Preston Road in May.

It happened on Thursday 21st May at 10:30am on Preston Road, at the junction turning in to the Weymouth Household Recycling Centre.

Two vehicles were involved, a black Volkswagen Golf and a white Honda Motorcycle.

The man riding the motorcycle was in his 50’s and from Portland.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries were thought to be minor but he sustained a broken pelvis.

Police Constable Andy Dickinson from Weymouth police, said: 

“We are carrying out a full investigation into this collision, which left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the collision to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists who may have relevant dashcam footage.”
