A visitor booking system is being brought in to manage numbers at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove .

Huge numbers have flocked to the estate over recent weeks following the relaxing for some lockdown restrictions.

Local authorities have been meeting with the landowner to discuss measures to limit the number of people visiting.

The new online booking system will be introduced next week.

A spokesperson for the Lulworth Estate said:

"Following the huge numbers of visitors who flocked to this area last weekend, authorities are keen to reassure local people that steps have been taken to avoid a repeat of the scenes we saw."

Other traffic management measures are going to be introduced too. Civil Enforcement Officers will be issuing fines to anyone parked illegally on the roads.

Marshalls will also be on-site to dissuade people from 'tombstoning' after people were injured jumping off of Durdle Door.
