We know Dorset's a great place to live and it looks like we're not the only ones.

A new survey carried out by an online mortgage broker has shown that Dorset is one of the top places to relocate to in the UK.

Nearly a quarter of UK adults are considering relocating in the next couple of years, according to Trussle.

2,000 people took part in the survey and 17% of those say they've been spending their time in isolation searching for properties online.

Cornwall is the most popular destination to move to, Dorset came 6th.

Miles Robinson is Head of Mortgages at Trussle, he said:

"It comes as no surprise that homeowners and would-be buyers are looking for a different way of life after lockdown.

"Our research shows that nearly a quarter of adults are hoping to relocate in the next couple of years, and estate agents have seen a big increase in enquiries about out of city locations during the last few weeks.
"Many will be considering a move away from the big cities to get more for their money. The lockdown has resulted in a noticeable shift to the desire for more rural living - especially as remote working becomes the norm for many."

In the survey the reason most people wanted to move was to have more space and over 27% of these people say that lockdown prompted their property search.
