Cllr Richard Biggs, Mayor of Dorchester said:

"Good townspeople please take the opportunity to visit the town centre and support the shops and businesses who depend on you.

"Much effort has been made to make it as safe and as pleasant as possible.

"I know I can depend on you to visit, let’s start the recovery responsibly together."

Phil Gordon, Project Director, Dorchester BID, added:

"A lot of us have had no option but to switch some of our buying allegiance to online.

"Its felt pretty soleless sometimes and I’ve really missed the human interaction, professional advice and most importantly the friendly smile of our caring and hard-working local businesses.

"Now is the time to help protect the future of our town’s high street and get spending in our Dorchester shops, I can wait!"
