Witness appeal after collision in Weymouth

Dorset Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a collision on Dorchester Road.

On Sunday 5th July at 5:10pm a silver Citroen C3 was seen being driven dangerously on Dorchester Road. 

The vehicle allegedly collided into a central reservation near to the BP garage. 

Officers attended, located the vehicle and arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of a driving offence.

He's since been released and is under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Constable Susan Tagg from the Weymouth Volume Crime Team, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please get in contact.

“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who were travelling in the nearby area and may have captured any relevant dashcam footage of the alleged vehicle involved either before or during the collision.”
