Appeal made following collision in Wimborne

The police have issued an appeal for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, after a local man in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious chest injuries.

The collision happened at the junction of Leigh Road and Parmiter Road in Wimborne at around 9am yesterday morning (Saturday 1st August) and involved a blue and white Triumph motorcycle and a silver Ford Transit van.

Police Constable Tim Gooding, of the traffic unit, said: 

"We are carrying out an investigation into this collision and I would urge any witnesses who have not spoken to police to please contact us.

"I would also ask anyone who was travelling in the area at the relevant time and has dashcam on their vehicle to please check their footage for anything relevant."
