Fire-fighters have been busy tackling a barn fire between Dorchester and Bridport.

Dorset Fire and Rescue were called out at 15.05pm to a farm in Long Bredy.

Approximately five square metres of straw were involved in the fire and crews quickly bought it under control using hose reel jets and by removing the burning straw.

Meanwhile crews have also been called to a farm in Charlton Marshall. They're attending a fire which involves a large barn used for storage of, among other things, straw.

Crews are using additional water from the swimming pool plus a mechanical excavator to remove the materials involved and bring the fire under control.
