Tonight a sports club on Portland will find out whether they've done enough to win a Lottery grant to keep them open.

The Portland Gig Rowing Club has been helping people pursue their passion for the sport by running organised activities and teams for anyone who fancies it.

They have 70 members but they need more equipment so they can stay open and keep members on the water.

They've successfully made the list for the Peoples Millions, and could be awarded £33,000 if they get your votes.

Club Chairman Dave Ferris told Wessex FM the money will go toward their first wooden boat that will allow them to compete in events and keep the club open for years to come.

The event is televised tonight on ITV Westcountry.
