Music education in Dorset schools has been given a boost after backing from a prominent group.

The Dorset Men Society have donated £500 towards a new initiative to support a mini-orchestra that will go into schools in the most rural areas and run workshops for the pupils.

Children will learn how to play instruments and create music.

The 5 musicians who make up the specialist group are from the world famous Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
