A holiday cabin in Swange built for severely disabled armed forces personnel, veterans and their families has been officially opened.

Two years ago the charity 'Heroes Haven Swanage' heard from a young soldier injured in Afghanistan, who's injuries meant he was unable to holiday in the seaside town which was one of his favourite places.

He managed to raise £200,000 -  and now a specially designed bespoke log cabin has been built to accommodate disabled Armed Forces personnel, veterans and their families.

The cabin is at Herston Leisure Park in Swanage with its own landscaped grounds, and will be available for 50 weeks a year from the 12th of May.
