Portland parents say transport, the curriculum and pupil care are their main concerns over plans for a new academy.

Parents from Southwell Community Primary School and Royal Manor Arts College have been meeting leaders for the first time.

The Academy got the green light from the Secretary of State for Education last week.

Funding of fifteen million pounds has been approved.

Pupils and staff will move into new buildings at Osprey Quay and Southall Business Park by September 2013.
