Published at 5:15pm 10th May 2012.

Condor Ferry's will find out tonight if they've been named Cross Sea Carrier of the Year.

The now Poole based ferry operator are one of six finalists in the category at the annual Coach Tourism Awards.

The nomination comes after Condor saw a 70 per cent increase in its group business in 2011, welcoming hundreds of coach travel passengers on its routes to the Channel Islands and St Malo in France.

Graham Hopcraft, Group Sales Manager at Condor Ferries, commented: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these prestigious awards. We welcome many coach groups on board our ferries each year, and are continually updating and improving our services for group bookings. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good news on the night."
