Returned Books Could Have Kept Library Open For Longer
Published at 8:58am 14th May 2012.
A Portland Councillor is hitting out at a report from Dorset County Council over the former Underhill Library.
The facility on the island has now been closed and replaced by a mobile service, due to funding cuts.
Sandy West says the document claims that thousands of pounds worth of books weren't returned to Underhill Library - and the lost money could've kept it open longer.
She's dismissed the report's findings.
