Security Minister Says Weymouth And Portland Is Ready For The Games

The Home Office has sent a top Minister to check out Weymouth and Portland ahead of the Olympic Games.

Crime and Security Minister James Brokenshire has been meeting members of Dorset Police and Game's Officials at the National Sailing Academy.

He was shown what preparations are in place and even took to the water to watch security demonstrations yesterday.

The Conservative MP was impressed with Dorset Police and support teams who're all helping ensure the games are safe and secure when athletes race this summer.

He told Wessex FM "the co-operation and co-ordination, the working together has come across very clearly to me, Dorset is Olympic ready, and we're ready for the games coming to Weymouth and Portland, and ready to be a part of that Olympic spirit."
