Pensioner With Life Threatening Injuries

A pensioner is in hospital with life threatening injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Weymouth.

The accident happened just before 4 o'clock Thursday 24th May on Dorchester Road outside Broadway Fish and Chip Shop.

The 84 year old from Weymouth was treated at the scene before being rushed to Dorchester Hospital.

A red Mazda car driven by a 74 year old woman, also from Weymouth, was the only vehicle involved.

Parts of the road were closed while police investigated the scene.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses; anyone who saw what happened is urged to contact Dorset Police on 101.
