Beauty Spot Littered By Rubbish

Chesil Beach clean

Published at 11:50am 29th May 2012.

7 bags full of rubbish have been collected off Chesil Beach by volunteers trying to stamp out litter bugs.

Representatives from the Environment Agency and the County Council teamed up for the beach clean as part of the Litter free Coast and Sea campaign.

They want more people to be responsible for their rubbish and take it with them when leaving the beach.

The most common items picked up were pieces of plastic, fishing line, bottles and sweet wrappers.
