All the information you need to find out what's going on around Dorset's coastline is now available on your mobile.

Popular tourist website iCoast has launched an APP that you can download to your smartphone.

It aims to help anyone planning coastal or water activities along our coastline and it arrives just in time for the Olympic Sailing events on Weymouth and Portland.

The APP puts a range of vital information about water sports and coastal activities instantly on your phone. The creators hope it makes it easier for people to plan their next coastal adventure in Dorset, especially kayakers, sailors, climbers, scuba divers and walkers.

A unique feature of the app is access to real-time tidal and current information and sea conditions.

Climber and Dorset Coast Forum Coordinator Bridget Betts said; "it's such an easy app to use and brings together all the information you would need to plan your coastal activities in one place. It also gives information on how best to carry out activities without impacting the environment or other coastal users.

To use the iCoast app for yourself, go to m.icoast.co.uk

If you don't have a smartphone then you can still access iCoast at www.icoast.co.uk
