Army Lorry Gets Stuck Under Bridge

Army Lorry

Published at 11:40am 7th June 2012.

The drivers of an army lorry have had a rather embarrassing encounter with a low bridge near Dorchester.

Their vehicle was transporting a heavy goods container when they tried to drive under a railway bridge, but the load was too tall and the container fell off the back.

The accident closed off the road near the underpass between West Knighton and Woodsford for most of the afternoon while Police tended the scene.

Officers say the driver "misjudged the height of their load".
